Unexpectedly Meeting

Never expected to meet a real DJ in Second Life? Here let me introduce you Michael Skosh, a crazy American DJ as well as a SL mentor!

I accidentally met him when I joined a club party. Music there is playing as usual; but suddenly I noticed that there is something different. At the interval of different songs I heard a soft, charming and steady voice coming out of my earphones. His voice is so professional that I first thought that it was playing by radio. However, I found out later that it was NOT from a radio. It was the DJ who was talking to us! And what’s more, he was once a real DJ in 80’s in the US!

Michael really enjoys being a DJ. While talking to me, he was sitting in front of his computer, monitoring it and introducing songs to the whole clubs. His voice makes the SL much real. It is just like listening to radios where you might have a chance to order songs you like. His amusing introduction of each song makes people laugh and build up an excited atmosphere for the SL club. Dancing in SL no longer bores me since I cannot only watch the system activated my avatar but also expect to listen to more interesting addressing for each song!

    Olivia’s story is about a mentor in SL. What interests her most is not the role of mentor but of Dj. During each interval of songs, the visitors can hear the Dj’s real voices, which also make Olivia thinks this is not a virtual world but a real world.
    However, reviewer thinks that she also has the incoherent grammatical problems. And he also mentioned that the headline is vague, and the beginning two paragraphs are not strong enough, so editor suggests that maybe Olivia can elaborate the first paragraph. And it seems that what Olivia really wants to focus on is “Dj”, but not “mentor”. So the reviewer suggested that maybe Olivia can remove the mentor part. And the organizers thinks since her headline reveals the “craziness” of Dj, then maybe she can mentions “craziness” in the article.
